Crane Runway Repair and Modernization
Problem: Customer reported that they were having issues with crane elevations and that their runway rail had become obsolete. The elevation issue caused the rail to crack at the splice, and the rail had been emergency repaired in the past, but the sections were cracked again. The customer had to stop using the crane in this area, and it was affecting their production.
Solution: Our experienced service technicians removed the necessary rail and repaired the elevation issue. We field-cut the rail, removed the cracked sections, and drilled for proper splice plates.
End Result: When completed, the crane was running great with no perceptible noise from the rail splices. The customer was able to move a process back into this area, saving time and interruptions to other processes.
