Crane Anti-Collision Installation and Inspection
Problem: During an annual inspection for a customer, we found someone had dis-abled the anti-collisions on two cranes out of 4. This was against the company's policy, and they wanted all 4 cranes to act in the same manner for a given situation. We diagnosed the method that someone had used to dis-able the anti-collisions and rectified the situation to meet the customers' requirements.
Solution: Our experienced service technicians installed the new anti-collision system and re-enabled the current systems to allow for all the customers cranes to operate the same way.
End Result: When completed, the crane was running great, and the customer was happy.
Other Notes: Operators should never rely solely on anti-collisions and slow-down/stop limits and be aware of what is going in with the crane they are operating. Anti-collisions do help prevent collisions, damage, and wear.
